One of the many great qualities of social media and people in the public eye posting on social media is that every now and then, you get the chance to see into their “normal” lives, whether it is a Tweet, an Instagram picture, or a Facebook post. More interestingly, these posts are always turned into something they are not, whether that is positive or negative, because simply put, that is just what the internet does. This blog will take a deeper look into the personal accounts of President Obama, and those who are currently in the run for the next presidential election. While many of these accounts are generally ran by a staff, every so often the President and the presidential candidates will post something that comes entirely from their own fingers. It is nice, and sometimes shocking, to see what these people that are in the public eye will post for the public to see.

Everyone Argues On Twitter, It's The "New" Thing

Recently, Trump commented on how George W. Bush handled the 9/11 attacks and Jeb Bush has stepped in to defend his brother. Trump was asked how he would handle a catastrophe such as the 9/11 attacks or the 2012 shooting in Newtown. He replied by saying, "I think I have a bigger heart than all of them. I think I'm much more competent then all of them. I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time." And then went on to say, (referring to George W. Bush) "He was president, okay? Blame him or don't blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign." Bush has responded saying that his brother kept us safe, and Trump's comments are "pathetic."
 
I find this funny, because Trump did mention the WTC coming down during George W. Bush's term.
 
And of course, Trump tries to end the Twitter debate by criticizing Bush on something that doesn't have anything to do with the initial arguments over George W. Bush's presidency. If presidential elections have taught me anything, it's that when in doubt, just criticize your opponent. That's how you really win an argument, duh!
And just today, Bush tweeted again on the matter with a linked video that makes Trump look like he has no idea what he is doing.

    Ashley, you're spot on with the fact that too often in politics we see debates turn in to food fights of tossing negative comments and off topic criticisms back and forth. To me, this highlights the immaturity of both parties involved and solidifies why neither of them should be viewed as legitimate candidates for the Presidency. Attempting to settle an argument or disagreement by means of social media is comparable to two teenagers bickering via texting, only everyone can see you make a fool of yourself.

    Regardless of how someone feels concerning the way President Bush handled the adversity during his tenure as Commander-in-Chief, I think it is absolutely ridiculous to blame him for the events that occurred on 9/11. Unfortunate events have happened throughout history but to place the blame solely on one person's shoulders is a heavy accusation.

    With a comment such as the one Trump has made, someone could equally blame him and The Trump Organization for being a critical reason the real estate market tanked some years ago. Does it hold any absolute truth? Absolutely not. It's an allegation that could be made simply because his company operates within the real estate field. Similarly with Bush, he happened to be President when the attacks happened, therefore Trump is seeking to defame his name and credibility by using him as the scapegoat for allowing these attacks to happen on his watch. In my opinion Donald Trump is an absolute joke of a candidate for an office that is supposed to reflect the highest moral and ethical responsibility to its country's citizens. Surely he should realize how much of his foot he has already in his mouth before he finds himself short of any to walk back to his lofty tower high rise in New York after defeat.
